Smt. Kashmira Trivedi is a renowned performer, choreographer, and teacher in the field of Bharatnatyam dance. With over 34 years of experience, she has dedicated herself to sharing her knowledge and training the future generation of dancers. She founded her own institute, “Takshashila Nrityakala Mandir,” where students receive training in Bharatnatyam in a friendly and supportive environment. Smt. Kashmira Trivedi has performed at prestigious dance festivals across India and abroad, showcasing her talent and creativity. She has choreographed notable ballets such as “Shivarpanam,” “Rangu Kirtanache Rangi Sadhu Navvidha Bhakti,” and “Dashavtar on Marathi Arati.” She has also conceptualized unique productions like “Tri-Bhangima,” which brings together classical styles of Bharatanatyam, Kathak, and Odissi on one stage.

Smt. Kashmira Trivedi holds the position of senior examiner for the Graduation and Post-Graduation examinations of Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal. She has received several awards and honors for her contributions to dance, including the Satyabhama Excellence Award, Girnar Ratna, National Nritya Shiromani, Nritya Tapasavi, Nattyasri, and Vibrant Women Award. She is actively involved in promoting upcoming artists through events like “Tarang Utsav” and provides a platform for experienced artists through “Tarang Ratna.” Additionally, she serves as the chief coordinator for Maharashtra and Gujarat for The Dance India Magazine and holds the position of Mudra Stage Curator for the Sanskruti Arts Festival in Upvan, Thane. She is also the treasurer for the Federation Group.

Takshashila Nrityakala Mandir is an Indian dance institute founded by Smt. Kashmira Trivedi on 25th December 1988. The institute specializes in teaching Bharatanatyam, an ancient Indian classical dance form. Smt. Kashmira Trivedi dedicated her life to sharing her talent and knowledge with the younger generation, aiming to preserve and promote Indian dance culture.

The institute is affiliated with the Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal (ABGMM) and offers a 5-year diploma course along with regular education. They also prepare students for ABGMM exams. The institute organizes an Annual Function every year to showcase the progress and talent of its students.

In addition to dance training, the institute focuses on grooming students in various art forms by offering sessions in music, Nattuvangam (rhythmic syllables), Viniyoga (dance techniques), and Shloka (Sanskrit verses). They also organize workshops, guest lectures by renowned Gurus, and various activities like summer camps and field trips to provide a holistic artistic education.

Over the years, the institute’s students have participated in and won numerous competitions, both nationally and internationally. They have also performed at various festivals and functions in India and countries like Thailand and Mauritius.

The institute has produced several dance dramas and experimental compositions, including “Rangu Kirtnache Rangi,” “Ramayan,” “Shivarpanam,” “Tri-Devi,” and “Dashavtar on Marathi Arti.”
